WS Cumby looked to JGM to get involved in their first project for Princeton University. This project had many components, from a simple steel addition, to a Terrazzo staircase with stainless steel railings, to salvaging and preserving 100-year-old cast iron columns with a blast and paint finish. JGM worked with our coating specialist to find the best method to achieve the new look. Our crews carefully salvaged and packaged the historic columns and sent them to the coating specialist. After careful prep work, we were able to apply a three-coat system that would preserve these columns for the next 100 years.
