JGM’s team provided a turnkey steel package for this new 300,000 sq. ft. facility. Our project team coordinated and scheduled routine meetings with the MEP contractors to ensure that the steel coordination process was seamless. This project entailed fabricating 12 arched trusses that were 120 feet long for the new gymnasium. The contract drawings specified that the trusses be spliced and field welded. JGM’s team put a plan together to fabricate and ship it in one piece so that we could eliminate two weeks from the project schedule. This project also had several schedule delays that prevented JGM to start erecting on the original start date. This was due to unforeseen soil conditions of the project site. JGM’s erection crews worked the necessary overtime to bring the project schedule back to its original time frame.
