Commonwealth Construction was awarded their first Army Corp of Engineers project for the Dover Air Force Base and wanted JGM on its team. Having the recent experience of successfully completing a 150,000 sq. ft., 1,000-ton project at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds, JGM knew what it would take to successfully build a new superstructure for the C-17 crew. JGM worked with Commonwealth to develop an erection sequence plan, detailed cost schedule, along with a complete safety implementation plan that exceeded the Corps’ EM-385 safety requirements. After the plan was in place, we held our pre-erection commencement meeting so we could hear everyone’s input and make the necessary changes. This is always critical in successful, safe projects. JGM completed the project with zero injuries.
