JGM was part of the project team charged with transforming two office buildings built in the 1970s into a single 200,000 sq. ft. premiere office building. This project had several unique challenges to overcome. The first part of the project entailed heavy renovation to the existing structures. JGM’s crews had to work meticulously around existing tenants to perform the reinforcement necessary for the new curtain wall and HVAC system. This part was crucial not only to maintaining a safe job site and schedule, but to maintaining happy tenants throughout the construction process. JGM had to connect two buildings that were completely out-of-square from each other, and had an elevation difference of 14 inches. This required a tremendous amount of up-front survey work in order to deliver the finished product that fit properly. JGM’s team was able to erect this building within four weeks, along with the installation of the cantilevered monumental staircase. This new glass atrium and monumental staircase is a phenomenal entrance for any world-class organization’s leasing space.
